Our friends Pepi and Alan competed in the Florida Pro Redfish Series last weekend. Here’s Alan’s recap of the tournament:
“Pepi and I (Team SeaDek) finished 4th out of 28 teams in the Titusville tourney Saturday. Conditions were rainy/windy but we boated close to forty fish including lower slot reds and some trout. The tourney (live weigh-in) alows 2 slot reds to be weighed in per Team for overall weight. The series includes a East and West Coast Division (4 Tourneys for each) and the top 25 qualifying Teams from each Division fish the Championship November 14/15th in Panama City. Pepi and I only fished 2 of the 4 East Coast Series and we ended up in 34th out of 60ish Teams. Our 2 fish were 26in and 24in with total weight I believe just over 10lbs. Here is the tourney series link: http://floridaproredfishseries.com. –Alan

One of our customers competed in a Hobie Fishing tournament in Holland last weekend. David competed with a #SeaDeked Hobie Revolution 13, a project kayak of Anglers Afloat (www.anglersafloat.co.uk). Here’s an excerpt about his weekend:
“Last weekend I was competing in the Hobie Fishing European Championships in Holland, a qualifying round for the Hobie Fishing Worlds with competitors from all over Europe competing. After the last days fishing all the Hobie Kayaks were lined up on the beach for all the competitors to cast a vote on which kayak they thought was the ‘Best Rigged Kayak’.Well it started off as a close vote between a Finnish lads ProAngler and the AnglersAfloat Revolution 13. That was until the Dutch lads all voted. The AnglersAfloat Project complete with SeaDek won convincingly.” -Daivd
David’s Hobie is SeaDeked with a 5mm storm gray stock kayak traction kit. He modified the pad over the tankwell by cutting out space for the water channels. To see David’s SeaDek Installation please vist: www.anglersafloat.co.uk/AnglersAfloat-SeaDek.html
