Xmas came early this year! When it was time to equip our new Super Air Nautique 230 we turned to our good friends over at Liquid Force. Don Wallace, VP Sales and Marketing, gave us his recommendations and suggestions. All the gear just arrived and we can’t wait to get out on the water and break it all in. Thanks again to Don and everyone over at LF!
Check the gear list at the bottom of our blog post.

Well we’re just back from the 54th Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament presented by Nautique Boats. The event is held every year at beautiful Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. Professional skiers and wakeboarders from around the world compete on legendary Robin Lake. SeaDek had a great tent location on a small hill over looking the event and brought along our family and coworkers to enjoy a great weekend of fun with a little work thrown in for good measure.
We’d like to thank Nautique for inviting us to be a part of this year’s event and also some of our partners for helping to get the new SeaDek Super Air Nautique dialed in just in time. Nautique build the boat, Roswell Wake-Air installed the custom audio, BoatMate Trailers was onsite right beside us and build the beautiful custom trailer, Liquid Force provided all the wakesurfboards, wakeboards, ropes, vests and more and Ocean LED provided the inwater lighting.
Our good friends over at Roswell Wake-Air did an amazing job on the audio system for the new SeaDek Super Air Nautique 230. Jeremy Edgar put in an amazing effort to have everything installed and tuned in time for our display at last week’s 54th Nautique Masters at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. The custom install includes the following:
– One RMA 500.1 Mono Amp powering our RMA 1211 Dual Voice Coil 12” Subwoofer (mounted in a 1.1 cu/ft vented enclosure). – One RMA 500.4 Amplifier powering 6 RMA 6510 In Boat Speakers. – One RMA 500.4 Amplifier powering a Focal P25 10” Subwoofer (mounted in the CC factory location)
– 4 Focal Access Series 690 CA G1 6x9”s mounted in our Airborne Housings. – Everything is wired using two RMA Marine Amplifier Wiring Kits
What a great weekend for a premier wake/ski event. The SeaDek crew is in hand to support Nautique this year at beautiful Calloway Gardens in Pone Mountain, Georgia. Stop by the booth and say hello, grab some samples and have a look at our brand new Super Air Nautique 230.
Here is a first look at the customized non-skid kit for the almost completed SeaDek Super Air Nautique 230. The color combination is bimini blue over storm gray with a white swap-out logo on the swim step pad. The radial waterdrop design is an innovative new design concept that we’re trying out for the first time on a complete cockpit kit.

SeaDek is proud to be a preferred supplier of ORACLE Team USA (http://oracle-team-usa.americascup.com/) in this year’s America’s Cup. Here is a video of the second official tender/chase boat with our non-skid pads featured bow to stern with custom Team USA branded engine cover and swim platform pad.
While not yet available for retail purchase, we’ve been testing our SeaDek material for pool applications for several years now. Trying different materials, patterns and adhesives with the ultimate goal of creating a product specifically for this type of application. Here’s the latest incarnation my boys and I installed this weekend. We chose storm gray over aqua camo with an embossed nonskid pattern. We have a couple of dogs and lots of palm trees and thought the storm gray would hide paw prints and palm berries without getting too hot in the summer time.
While installation is very simple and can be done by one person, I put the boys to work pulling back the paper lining while I pressed the pad into place. After all the pads were down I had them walk along the edges making sure contact was evenly achieved across the entire surface and edge bevels.
No more scratched and scrapped knees and now the nieces have a comfortable place to sunbathe. We drew up a design for some cool turtles and had them routed into the area beside the steps. I think they turned out pretty well.
Installation is a breeze. Simply score the paper backing and peel it up a little. Place the pad in the exact position you want it. Tape one side down securely so the pad can’t move out of position. Peel up one side of paper backing and press pad into place careful to keep air from being trapped underneath. Remove tape and repeat process on the other side. Take the time to press the pad firmly into place taking the time to press all edges down with the palm of your hand and/or heel of foot.
