As a company of boaters, surfers, and water enthusiasts, we always try to do our best to look after the environment we care so dearly about. Not only is the health of our waterways critical to the boating culture that supports SeaDek, but also to the lifestyle that we enjoy every day with our families. Our coasts are fragile ecosystems that need our help to overcome the effects of pollution caused by the hand of man.
And with that goal, SeaDek is proud to announce its sponsorship of Blue Tube, a non-profit company dedicated to clean beaches and plastic-free oceans. Blue Tubes are bright blue, easy-to-spot containers that hold bags. They are installed at beach crossovers and boat ramps so people can grab a bag, pick up trash, and throw it away when they leave. Beach-goers donate their clean, used bags to the container and the cycle continues!
The SeaDek sponsored Blue Tubes were recently installed at the Lee Wenner Boat Ramp at Cocoa Village and the MacFarland Boat Ramp at 2100 Indian River Drive in Cocoa.
Next time you a see a Blue Tube on your way to the water, grab a bag and do your part. Don’t believe that this problem is too big to fix. When everyone does a little, together we accomplish a lot.
