2019 Florida Skiff Challenge begins this Thursday

SeaDek Florida Skiff Challenge

Each year, leading skiff manufacturers put their boats and teams to the ultimate endurance test, circumnavigating 1,300 miles around Florida in a nonstop race from Pensacola to Jacksonville. The event is closely followed by thousands of sportsmen in Florida and across the country, with each team’s land-based chase crew providing fuel and repairs at pre-planned pit-stops (like Cedar Key/West Palm Beach).

This year’s challenge will help Captains for Clean Water shine a spotlight on solutions to Florida’s water crisis by those who directly represent the $24.6 billion marine and fishing industries—boat builders and the outdoor community. Specifically, we’re asking supporters to contact their legislators in support of Governor Ron DeSantis’s $625 million funding proposal. We need this investment to fix Florida’s waters and protect our way of life for future generations!
