Doing a little R & D this week. We have a couple of sit-on-top tandem kayaks that we use here in central florida for cruising the mangroves and a little off shore fishing. These kayaks are nothing fancy but they’re really tough and work well with little kids. On the particular model I have there are two 8 inch circular areas with smooth exposed hull material. Nothing stays in place here and any tackle or gear you set down ends up sliding right off.

I had one of our CAD designers create a drawing for an eva, peel and stick storage pad with three compartments. Going to give these a try this weekend and see how they work out. I think there might be some cool possibilities here for new products.
