SeaDek at Boot Düsseldorf 2017

From January 21st through 29th, more than 1,800 exhibitors from 70 different countries presented their products and services to a diverse, international crowd at Boot 2017, and Activboot, a longtime SeaDek business partner, was on hand in booth C21 in Hall 9, to educate boaters of the many benefits of SeaDek, and its advantages over carpet and traditional non-skids.

It’s location, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia sits along the busiest waterway in the world, the Rhine River. A total of 242,000 visitors from 70 countries came to Düsseldorf, and exhibitors had close to 1,800 boats and yachts on display.

Boot Düsseldorf is popular for its coverage of a wide variety of water sports, including: sailing, motor boating, diving, angling, marine tourism, trend sports, and canoeing. For surfers, there was the world’s first standing, deep-water wave (aptly called “The Wave”) that allowed participants to test their surfing skills on standard boards and SUPs. Up to six surfers could ride at once, and beginners (as young as six years of age) could use a bar for support. It’s nine-pump system creates a realistic ocean current, allowing users to ride on standard boards with fins. There was also a center for diving, where you could hop in the 5.9′ deep pool and diving instructors from the world’s top diving organizations would provide training tips and advice.

Among the various displays, SeaDek was on the decks of countless 2017 model vessels, including many of the world’s leading boat builders.
