SeaDek Marine Products, a leading manufacturer of a range of non-skid products for use in the marine, water sports and pool & spa industries is now hiring a Quality Manager. A viable alternative to carpet and molded-in nonskid products, SeaDek’s line of products are targeted for boat builders, resellers and end-users. The quality manager will maintain the company’s ISO 9001:2008 certification and implement ISO 9001:2015. They will champion, support and lead quality improvement initiatives. They are responsible for ensuring that all managers, process owners and supervisors develop and maintain their part of the quality management system. The quality manager monitors and advises on how the system is performing, which may often include the publication of statistics regarding company performance against set measures. A key role of the quality manager is to ensure that customer requirements and expectations have been identified and that the organization is meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
A knowledge of statistics is required, coupled with good interpersonal skills. The job function covers all aspects of the company’s operation and requires the ability to assimilate and analyze information.
The Quality Manager will perform in-house and external supplier audits to assure compliance to specified quality requirement. They will also support manufacturing, engineering and sales/customer service in creating and maintaining documentation, including but not limited to work instructions, flow diagrams and procedures.
Education & Experience:
Experience with ISO 9001:2008 required, ISO 9001:2015 preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt education or Higher
OSHA experience preferred
