SeaDek On The Gaff Life TV Boat

We are really excited to be working with Gaff Life TV and Gaff Life Magazine this year. We’ve been working with Captain and star of the show, Jimmy Nelson, on his Bonefish Hill Tide 22′. We templated the boat before the holiday and this week we met up with Jimmy and installed a complete bow to stern SeaDek kit. It turned out great!

The kit is made of storm gray over black, 6mm, closed-cell EVA material. Our EVA is comfortable, durable and since it’s a closed-cell material it will not absorb water. The material has UV inhibitor to reduce fading and degradation, a thermoformed non-skid pattern on the surface for exceptional non-skid characteristics, finished beveled edges to reduce tripping and  custom routed logos.

Another great feature that is not always apparent if the material’s sound dampening qualities. The material is similar to a sandal material. If you drop a weight or gaff on the deck it’s not going to make the same explosive sound as he same item hitting bare fiberglass or metal. It’s like having a stealth fishing boat!

Obviously comfort is one of the most popular features of our pads. Spend a day fishing or sailing on a boat with SeaDek and you’ll never tolerate hard bare decks again. It’s an orthopedic covering for your boat. Add in the great look and the extreme reduction in glare and you have an essential addition to any vessel.
Before and after shots really highlight what an aesthetic difference SeaDek can make to a bare deck:

15mm helm station pad really makes a difference to tired backs and knees when pounding through chop!
