This year, at the 2024 Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, SeaDek emerged as a proud recipient of the 2024 Miami Innovation Award. Hosted by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Boating Writers International (BWI), the ceremony recognized 13 outstanding innovations and two honorable mentions in the marine industry. SeaDek is honored to be one of the recipients for our latest innovation, lighted SeaDek.
The Miami Innovation Awards celebrate manufacturers and suppliers who introduce groundbreaking products to the market. An esteemed judging committee of eight BWI members, known for their expertise in marine products and equipment, carefully evaluated entries. SeaDek proudly secured our position among the winners, in the Furnishings & Interior Parts category.
Kevin Falvey, one of the judges, praised SeaDek for taking the ubiquitous EVA foam decking, coaming pads, and step pads to a new level of functionality and owner customizations. Backlighted SeaDek features embedded RGB lighting, adding a dynamic and customizable element to marine flooring and padding. This innovation offers both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality, showcasing SeaDek’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in marine design.
