First boat of the day means 5:30am, at the pumps and on our way to Nautique’s private wet testing lake just a short drive from the factory. Gary Cressman, in charge of Quality Services and Water Testing as well as a 24 year Correct Craft veteran, walked me through the the process of making a new boat “water ready”.
From running electronics and engine diagnostics to battery, lighting steering and much more, Gary checks out every inch of the boat. Though he downplays it a bit he’s got to have one of the best jobs in the company. Sure the early hours are tough and there is a lot of responsibility making sure these boats are perfect before they head off to their new homes, spending your work days driving these machines is not a bad gig at all.

After that we’ll be meeting up with the team from Sirlin Wraps. They’ll be stopping into the SeaDek facility to do the installation of our hull wrap.
