SeaDek joins marine industry leaders on Capitol Hill

Rockledge, FL On May 15-17, 2017, SeaDek Marine Products will join a broad group of marine business owners, representatives, and lobbyists in Washington, DC, in a push to strengthen the industry’s collective advocacy impact.

With a new administration in office and 62 new members of congress, this year’s visit is especially critical, and will provide the opportunity to show the newly elected officials how policies related to trade, taxes, fuel, and the environment have a direct and lasting impact on the boating industry as a whole.

“We are proud to be representing our industry and fighting for the issues that matter to all of us, both manufacturers and boaters alike,” said Jason Gardner, VP of marketing and advertising at SeaDek. “The boating industry is a major economic force, and it is important that we make our representatives aware of the impacts that certain legislation can have on us.”

The ABC is the industry’s most important advocacy event, providing the opportunity to build and strengthen relationships with congressmen and representatives who play a key role in legislation that directly affects boating in America. The two-day event features keynote speakers, scheduled visits to Capitol Hill, and the opportunity to network with other members of the boating community, with the common goal of ensuring a healthy future for recreational boating.  More information can be found at www.nmma.org/government/abc.
